An
entirely new product though in shape, size and colour the
same as, or similar to, conventional roof tiles but significantly
lighter and stronger than conventional roof tiles. Outstanding
thermal efficiency and high impact resistance make this roof
tile adaptable to custom and standard applications. LITECRETE
roof tiles are leak-proof without glazing or coating and available
in a wide range of earthy colours.
Thermal
conductivity is rated at "R-0.625", fire resistance
would be approx 45min although roof tiles are generally not
required to be fire-rated. University tests obtained transverse
test result of 2.3-2.5Kn, well above Australian Standard requirements
of 0.9Kn. Densities of test specimen were 700 kg/m³,
thickness 35mm, weighing an average of under 4kg per tile.
The light weight, high impact resistance and insulation properties
make this tile an excellent replacement for existing buildings
and provide an ideal roof for new buildings. There is no need
for additional insulation in the roof space.
